From one Business Owner to Another...

Hello!  My name is Anne Balke - owner, operator & chief "bottle opener" of Enjoy Life Design.  As a sole proprietor, you name it, I do it! 

My interest in web design started out of necessity.  In 2002 I had to leave my career of twenty years because of a medial illness. Fortunately, I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease, an auto-immune disorder that is 100% treatable by diet; but I had been sick for a quite a while and it was a long recovery process. Physically unable to work outside of the home, I entered the world of entrepreneurship. I started my first home based business with my then-husband in 2002 (although I am no longer involved, this is still successful eBay business) and have been working for myself ever since.

When I got started, money was tight; I could not afford to pay someone to create professionally designed websites and marketing materials.  But I knew these things were essential to my success.   I was fortunate to have a little background in computers and a lot of time on my hand.  So I started to teach myself Web Site and Print Design.  I have spent the last eight years learning and developing my skills.

At Enjoy Life Design, you will be working with someone who has been where you are.  As a small business owner, I understand what it means to “wear many hats” and to make tough choices based upon finances and time.   When it comes to my success, I also understand that I would not be where I am if it were not for the mentorship and shared wisdom of other business owners that I have received over the years.

Yes, you will get a high-quality, professionally designed site at an affordable price, but that is not all.  I believe in "paying it forward" and will share with you some of the strategies that I have learned over the years. As part of my design services, I will work with you to set up some extremely powerful business promotion resources - available for free but many business owners don't know they exist or have the time to set them up.  We will also discuss whether or not adding industry-related "affiliate" products to your website makes sense as an additional income stream.  In addition, I am building a library of useful resources to help you utilize the internet as part of your business promotion strategy.
